Education

The Florida Keys Wild Bird center strives to provides education for the public about the importance of protecting and coexisting with wild bird species. Visit our sanctuary for a self-guided tour or schedule a personalized tour to learn more about the work we do and the native and migratory bird species we help!

Field Trips

Take your classroom or school group on an immersive, behind the scenes tour of our bird sanctuary or hospital. Includes a hands-on experience (owl pellet dissection or Florida Bay scavenger hunt).

Private Sanctuary Tour

We are excited to now offer private tours of the Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary for the public. Accompany one of our staff members on a walk of our facilities while learning about each of our permanent resident's stories. When possible, see one of our rehabilitated bird's releases.

$20 per person.

Behind the Scenes Hospital Tour

We are happy to now provide a behind the scenes tour of our Mission Wild Bird Hospital and rehabilitation area. Accompany a staff member on a guided tour of our hospital and learn more about the process of wild bird rehabilitation!

$100 up to 4 people.

Sanctuary and Hospital tour: $150 up to 4 people.
