Mission Wild Bird (MWB), comprised of three wings – administration, education and the hospital – is the setting where the center integrates its mission with programs that directly serve people; unequivocally serving birds, and that ultimately tie both together, allowing for harmonious living among wildlife, humans and our natural environment.

Mission Wild Bird instills an abiding enthusiasm for birds, wildlife, nature, and the Florida Keys. It is a place where people can stop in and say hello. A place to volunteer some time, to learn more about the Florida Keys — or to share what you already know. It is the place to learn about wild native and migratory birds. It is the place people leave with a new or growing enthusiasm to serve as stewards to the environment.
